Modified Culture
When I started Modified Logic and began thinking about the culture I wanted to build, it was something that immediately excited me and ignited my passion. And while I can dream of the environment I want to create at Modified Logic, I also understand that in order to bring the Culture I want to create to life – the key piece is people. As we continue to grow and build our team, I look forward to surrounding myself with individuals from different walks of life, diverse in how they think, passionate about what they do, and whose strengths balance out my opportunities.
People-Based Versus Policy-Based
By identifying and hiring talent who are self-motivated, eager to learn, willing to ask questions, and understand how important customer relationships are – we are taking the first step to creating a culture where people feel valued and appreciated. Leadership teams that can identify talent as a “fit” and are flexible to taking an individualized approach in engaging, developing, and mentoring their team – will all have a positive impact on customer experience, and business overall.
Employees want to have a sense of purpose. They need a solid understanding of how their actions, decisions, and interactions impact the business – and here at Modified Logic, we empower our employees to make decisions for the greater good of the company.
The Fish Stinks From The Head
Throughout my career, I have worked for various leaders and with various leadership styles based on the culture of each company. A leader I worked for early in my career used to always say – “the fish stinks from the head” – and as a newly promoted manager, I did not truly grasp this saying at the time. Later in my career, I began to fully understand what the saying truly meant. It’s true – the right or wrong leadership can (and will) completely influence your team or company’s success.
“People work for people” is something that I have read over and over in various leadership books – and I have personally seen how accurate this statement is. When I can work side-by-side with others who are also happy to come to work every day as well – I genuinely enjoy coming to work each and every day. Collaborating as a team and having open lines of communications that allow people to have frank conversations about what is working and what is not – is something that we have made a top priority here at Modified Logic. My goal is to build a high caliber team, where each person truly feels empowered and trusted. I have always made it a priority to not only check in on people – but to go the extra mile by taking them out to lunch, having one-on-one conversations about their challenges, understanding their career goals, and discovering what I can do to help them succeed.
Culture Can Make or Break You
Culture is everything! I truly believe that if we want to attract the right talent and be the very first choice for our clients, it all starts with creating a great company Culture. We’ve all heard that happiness & positivity are contagious, but it is important to realize that negativity can be even more infectious – and your customers pick up on that quickly. You can’t fake positivity, and you certainly can’t force people to be happy. But, if you surround yourself with people who are motivated and enjoy what they do, you can create an atmosphere that breeds positivity.
Top of mind every day, is how my decisions and interactions contribute to building a Culture that creates meaningful relationships with both our external and internal clients – and I couldn’t be more excited to continue building a team that serves both, as the best Solution Provider we can be.
